Hi u/SnooRecipes3056 - buying a 6D Mark II body would not only limit you to 1080p video - it would also mean spending more money on new EF system glass.Ĭoming from the D750, I recommend the $1,246.90 Nikon Z5 with an FTZ electronic adapter for full frame stills and 4K video. Also since its old so after a year or so its resale would go way down.Īnother option is getting something like the Sony ZV1 for videos and keeping the Nikon till I completely move out of the wedding space but of course, it's not that cheap. Firstly because it's not 4k and that doesn't really bother me but the poor dynamic range and how it loses a lot of quality and natural sharpness in videos is pushing me away from it. The only camera that fits that category is the Canon 6D Mark II and I've seen its reviews. WITHIN MY BUDGET - I would Ideally want something that fits within my budget i.e selling my D750 and buying the body for the same price or 50-100usd more at max. A camera that spots the face and quickly focuses on my face FULL FRAME - so I am not fully pushed out of weddings yet (where I live full frame is a must for weddings) I am setting up my room as a studio space for youtube and now I need a camera with which I can get super high quality video work done. I didn't have the space or lights and stuff (all our other excuses) for it before but I do now. I am slowly moving out of wedding photography and trying to get product photography going (as I am a 3D product photographer as well) and I've always been someone who wanted to get on youtube. I have the D750 and I use it mostly for portraits and weddings.
